Michael “the Grinder” Mizrachi battled back.

      Playing with less than 100,000 chips two days earlier, Mizrachi had 7,535,000 at the conclusion of Day 6 of the Main Event of the 2010 World Series of Poker. The rebound put him in second place, behind Denmark’s Theo Jorgensen.

      Overall, 78 players remained alive in the No-Limit Hold’em World Championship, which started with 7,319 entries.

      “I’m going to take it hand by hand. There are so many players that I don’t know,” said Jorgensen. “There’s such a big difference in the level of play. I’m going to Google some of the rest of the players and see what I can learn about them.”

      Along with Mizrachi and Jorgensen, other notables still playing were Eric Baldwin, Scott Clements and David Benyamine.

      Robert Mizrachi, Michael’s brother, finished 116^th, earning $57,102.
