Matt Keikoan may have been beat, but he still won.
A 41-year-old playing out of California, Keikoan defeated Justin Hallstrom, a policeman from Sacramento, heads-up to finish first in the World Series of Poker Circuit Lake Tahoe tournament November 17. In addition to the championship ring, Keikoan was paid $110,346.
"I'm excited, but I'm very tired," he said. "This comes at a good time for me."
Overall, 64 players, including David Woo, Ari Engel and Tommy Vedes participated in the tournament.
